The report says, of the social media survey takers, 46 percent visited their favorite social network several times per day or constantly. Of the 46 percent, who looked at their favorite social network several times every day, 42 percent used through their mobile devices.  About 18 percent visited once per day. The survey was done on 4,000 computer users in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Age group between 18 and 34 felt addicted to social networks more than older – 75 percent versus 44 percent.

According to the survey, those social network users also are making more efforts to reduce their risk of exposure to cybercriminals.

Cybercriminals continue to target social networks because they can quickly access a large pool of victims,” Webroot threat expert Jacques Erasmus, mentions Business Reports. “But our findings show that people are becoming aware of this, and they’re now savvier about safeguarding their devices and the personal information they share online.”
